Day 1: Flight Medellín – Nuquí
Arrive in the morning in Nuquí, where your guide will meet you and bring you by boat to your hotel, La Joviceña. The hotel is located at Guachalito, half an hour down the coast from Nuquí. On the way, enjoy the incredible landscapes where the mountains descend to the sea. After a fresh lunch, enjoy an afternoon on the beach of Guachalito, where you can snorkel, swim or just relax in a hammock.

Day 2: Joví – Coquí
After breakfast, travel by boat to the community of Joví, ten minutes from Guachalito. Here, meet a local guide, who will provide you with information about the place, before boarding a chingo, an artisanal canoe. Travel by chingo up the Joví River, a shallow, slow moving river where you can see birds and other animals. After an hour, you arrive at a waterfall in the rainforest, where you can take a dip in the crystal-clear water in the middle of the jungle. Return by chingo to Joví.

After lunch, travel by boat to the neighboring community of Coquí, where another local guide will bring you by chingo though some of the best-preserved mangroves in Colombia. Here, you’ll spot rare birds and tropical plants. After the tour, return by boat to your hotel, for another evening on the beach.

Day 3: Sendero Cuatro Encantos – Termales
After breakfast, travel by boat to Termales, a small community to the south of Guachalito. The boat ride takes about 20 minutes. Upon arriving in Termales, you guide will provide you with rubber boots for hiking in the rain forest. Depart from Termales on a trail through the Chocó jungle. During this hike, you will have the opportunity to see birds, monkeys, and poisonous frogs. As you make your way through the jungle, your guide will point out medicinal plants and explain their traditional uses. At the end of the trail, you arrive at a picturesque waterfall, which forms a wide, deep pool where you can swim. After relaxing in the waterfall, return to the community of Termales. At the bottom of the trail is a natural hot spring, after which the town is named. Here, you can relax in the hot springs and enjoy a cold drink.

Day 4: Depart from Nuquí
